Gruppo Vecchia Toscana has established roots in the tanning sector since 1957, when Guglielmo Testai laid the foundations for what would soon become one of the most important tanning companies in the world. Today the tannery has an industrial complex of 25,000 m2 and is owned by Valerio Testai and his son Francesco.
The history, experience and tradition have been handed down from generation to generation and have led the company to achieve the highest standards of quality thanks to continuous research and development of new materials and new technologies applied to leather.
All this permits the Gruppo Vecchia Toscana to play a fundamental role in the production of leather for the luxury sector and develop projects and collaborations with the principal Italian and international high fashion brands.

Currently Gruppo Vecchia Toscana boasts a production of chrome and vegetable tanned bovine leather for leather goods, footwear and much more.
The ILCEA division also represents the flagship of the company. Specialized in the production of high-quality chrome-tanned calf leather with an aniline finishing for men’s and women’s footwear with headquarters in Turin.
CONTROL AND TRACKING
All the leather is made inside the company. This represents a solid and effective solution to offer a system of tracking and total control over the processing phases to ensure high quality standards.
CERTIFIED LABORATORY
Within the company there is an accredited and certified laboratory where hundreds of required daily tests are performed on the leather to ensure technical standards. Each client can count on the quality that this system offers and have maximum assurances that the leather is always carefully checked and tested.
